If you cancel a paid plan, HeyGen moves your account to the Free plan at the end of the billing cycle and unused credits do not carry over[1]. Use them before the renewal date.
What a good free alternative is depends on the video
HeyGen is a talking-avatar tool: a presenter or a photo of a face reads a script. Its photo avatar page markets talking photos in over 175 languages and dialects[3]. If that is what you need, compare it with other avatar tools' free tiers:
- Synthesia Basic is free with 10 minutes of video and 500 credits a month, watermarked[4].
