How many free credits do AI video generators give?
It ranges from none to a daily allowance: Runway gives 125 credits once, Google Flow gives 50 credits a day, Viggle gives 5 free videos a day, and Pika's Free plan gives 0 monthly credits[1][4][6][7]. Almost every tool needs an account first, and many watermark free videos.
Free allowances, side by side (as of 2026-10-18)
| Tool | Free allowance | Resets? | Watermark on free |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google Flow (Veo)[4] | 50 credits a day | Daily | Invisible SynthID; visible mark optional in most regions[5] |
| Dreamina (Seedance)[8] | Daily free credits; 120 a day was the published August 2026 baseline | Daily | Removal is a paid benefit[9] |
| Krea[11] | 100 compute units a day | Daily | Not stated |
| Viggle[6] | 5 free videos a day, 1 at a time | Daily | Yes, no-watermark is paid[6] |
| Runway[1] | 125 credits, about 10 s of Gen-4.5 | Never; one-time | Yes[2] |
| HeyGen[12] | 3 videos a month, up to 1 min each | Monthly | Yes, by default[13] |
| Synthesia[14] | 10 min of video and 500 credits a month | Monthly | Yes[14] |
| Captions[15] | 60 to 200 lifetime credits | Never | Not verified |
| Pika[7] | 0 monthly credits; packs only | n/a | No watermark on any plan[7] |
| Higgsfield[16] | Enough for a first influencer and one video | One-time | Not verified |
| Vidnoz image-to-video[17] | One free video a day | Daily | Not verified |
| Kling, Vidu, Luma[19][20][21] | Free credits offered, amount not published in readable form | Varies | Kling: generally yes[19] |
Google Flow's help pages disagree: one says anyone gets 50 credits a day, another lists a Google AI subscription as a requirement[4][5]. Non-subscribers may also be blocked from generating video at peak hours, roughly 2-5 PM UTC[4].
Which gives the most?
Credits are not comparable across apps, so look at what they buy. For repeated free use, the daily allowances win: Google Flow, Dreamina, Krea and Viggle refresh every day. In Flow, 50 daily credits cover two Veo 3.1 Fast generations for non-Ultra users at 20 credits each, or five on Veo 3.1 Lite at 10[4]. Runway's 125 credits sound generous but buy about 10 seconds of Gen-4.5 at 12 credits a second, once[3]. To turn any allowance into seconds of video, use the method in how AI video credits work.
Do I need an account to get free credits?
For nearly everything above, yes. HeyGen, Synthesia and Krea say no credit card is needed, which is not the same as no sign-up[12][14][11]. Higgsfield ties its free credits to signing up[16]. Vidnoz's image-to-video page claims no login is needed, while its talking-photo tool requires an account[17][18]. Cast is one of the few that makes a video with no account at all: a guest account is created on your first tap, with 55 credits, enough for one 5-second video while the day's free allowance lasts. Our page on free AI video with no sign-up covers that case.
Getting the most out of free credits
- Draft on the cheapest model the app offers, then spend a full allowance on the one take you keep.
- Write a complete prompt before you generate; a re-roll costs as much as the first try. Our free prompt builder needs no login.
- Check the watermark rule before you plan to post, and check whether free output may be used commercially; Pika's Free plan, for example, has no commercial licence[7].
Where Cast fits
- You want a free video with no account, from a phone browser including TikTok's and Instagram's in-app browsers.
- You want a ready-made character so the free credits go on the video, not on designing someone: the Malfoid & Friends pack is free.
Where it does not:
- Daily free generations: Cast's free allowance is one 5-second video, then paid credits.
- Longer or horizontal free videos: the free video is 5 seconds, vertical 9:16.
People also ask
- Which AI video generator gives the most free credits?
- For ongoing use, daily allowances: Google Flow gives 50 credits a day[4], Viggle 5 videos a day[6], and Dreamina's published August 2026 baseline was 120 credits a day[8].
- Do free credits reset daily?
- Some do (Flow, Dreamina, Krea, Viggle); others are monthly (HeyGen, Synthesia) or one-time (Runway's 125 credits never renew)[4][12][1].
- Do free AI videos have watermarks?
- Often. Runway, HeyGen and Synthesia watermark free videos[2][13][14]; Pika says none of its plans add a watermark[7]. Cast does not add a visible watermark of its own.
- Does Seedance have free credits?
- Through Dreamina, which offers Seedance with free daily credits[10]. See is Seedance free.
