Is there an unlimited free AI video generator?
No hosted AI video generator is both free and unlimited, because every second of video costs the provider real GPU time. The only way to get unlimited free video is to run an open-weight model such as Wan 2.2 on your own hardware[1]; everything else is capped by credits, daily limits or slow queues.
Why AI video is not free
Video models bill by seconds and resolution, and the numbers are large compared with text or images. These are list prices for the model owners' and resellers' own APIs:
| Model and provider | List price |
|---|---|
| Seedance 2.0 Fast, BytePlus (ByteDance)[3] | about 0.60 USD per 5 s at 720p |
| Seedance 2.5, BytePlus[4] | about 2.843 USD per 5 s at 1080p |
| Veo 3.1, Gemini API[6] | $0.40 a second at 720p or 1080p |
| Veo 3.1 Lite, Gemini API[6] | $0.05 a second at 720p |
| MiniMax H3, MiniMax API[8] | $0.08 a second at 768P |
We see the same thing in our own bills. Atlas Cloud's price endpoint quoted our account $0.29 for a 5-second Seedance 2.0 Fast clip at 720p and $2.98 for 5 seconds of Seedance 2.5 at 1080p on 2026-10-16. A site that gives that away without limit has to pay for it some other way, so ask how before you upload anything.
What 'unlimited' plans really mean
- Unlimited at low quality. Midjourney's unlimited video in Relax Mode needs the Pro or Mega plan and runs only at SD resolution[9].
- Limits without a fixed number. Gemini app limits are compute-based, refresh every 5 hours and stop at a weekly limit, and video is the most usage-intensive feature[10].
- Free daily credits. Google Flow gives 50 credits a day, but non-subscribers may be unable to generate at peak hours[11]. Dreamina's published August 2026 baseline was 120 daily credits[12]. Both reset, neither is unlimited.
- A plan named Unlimited. Hedra's in-app plan copy lists a tier called Unlimited[14]; we could not read its exact limits on Hedra's site.
Free unlimited Sora, Veo or Seedance?
Searches for these are common, and the honest answers are short. OpenAI shut down the Sora 2 models and the Videos API on 2026-09-24[15], so a site offering Sora 2 API video today should make you suspicious. Veo has no free tier on the Gemini API[7]; the free route is Flow's daily credits, though Google's Flow pages conflict on whether a subscription is required. Seedance on BytePlus is activated by buying a resource pack[5]; the free route is Dreamina's daily credits[13].
The cheapest ways to get a lot of video
- Run open weights. Wan 2.2 is Apache 2.0 licensed with text-to-video and image-to-video at 480P and 720P[2]. Free after the hardware, and slow on consumer GPUs.
- Stack daily free credits. Flow and Dreamina both renew daily. Five short clips a day adds up over a month if you are patient.
- Pay per second through an API. Veo 3.1 Lite at $0.05 a second at 720p[6] and Replicate's Seedance 2.0 Fast at $0.15 a second at 720p[16] are among the lowest list prices we found.
- Draft cheap, finish once. Render drafts on the cheapest model and short lengths, then render only the keeper at high quality. See cheapest AI video generator.
Where Cast fits
- You want one free test clip without an account, to judge Seedance 2.0 Fast quality before paying anyone.
- You prefer a fixed price per clip shown before you generate: a 5-second Standard video is 52 credits, about $0.58 at the Starter pack rate.
- You want failed renders refunded automatically instead of losing credits.
Where it does not:
- Unlimited anything: Cast gives one free video, then you buy credits.
- High-volume or programmatic rendering, where an API is cheaper per second.
- Long videos: Cast clips run 5, 10 and 15 seconds.
People also ask
- Is there any AI video generator with no limits?
- Only one you run yourself. Open-weight models such as Wan 2.2 have no usage cap under their Apache 2.0 licence[1], but you pay for the GPU and electricity.
- Is image to video AI free and unlimited anywhere?
- Not on a hosted service we could verify. Vidnoz's image-to-video page, for example, states one free generation per day[17]. See image to video AI for free.
- Why do free AI video sites ask for so much?
- Because each clip costs them money. A free tier is a trial they pay for, so they limit it by credits, queues, watermarks or account checks.
- How do AI video credits work?
- Credits are a prepaid currency; each model and length costs a set number. Our AI video credits explainer compares how tools price them.
