Is Dreamina free?
Yes, with limits. Dreamina gives free daily credits for generating images and videos, including with Seedance[1], but removing the Dreamina watermark from downloads and lip-sync audio generations are paid-plan benefits[3], and paid plans start at USD 15.00 a month[3].
What Dreamina is
Dreamina is CapCut's AI creation site for images and video. It runs ByteDance's Seedance video models (Seedance 2.5, 2.0 and 2.0 Mini are listed)[1] and an avatar tool built on the OmniHuman 1.5 model[5]. CapCut brands the video model inside its apps as Dreamina Seedance 2.0[6]. If you want to know what Seedance itself is, see what is Seedance.
What you get free
- Daily credits. Dreamina says it provides free daily credits for images and videos[1]. Its own guide gives a published August 2026 baseline of 120 daily credits and says no credit card is required to start[2]. It also suggests confirming the current number in your account, so treat 120 as a guide, not a promise.
- Which models. The free credits are for images and videos[1]. We could not verify whether every model, including Seedance 2.5, can be used on free credits.
- Not included: watermark-free downloads and lip-sync audio generations, which are listed as paid benefits[3].
How far the free credits go
Dreamina does not publish a per-second credit price for Seedance that we could find. One number lets you estimate it: Dreamina says its Basic plan's 1,575 monthly credits make about 19 ten-second Seedance 2.0 Fast 720p videos[4] [3], which works out to roughly 83 credits per 10-second clip. If free credits are spent at the same rate, 120 daily credits cover about one 10-second Fast clip a day, or a couple of short ones. That is our arithmetic, not a Dreamina promise.
Dreamina plans and prices
| Plan | Price per month | Credits per month |
|---|---|---|
| Basic | USD 15.00 (USD 1.50 first month)[3] | 1,575 |
| Standard | USD 36.00 (USD 22.00 first month)[3] | 3,885 |
| Advanced | From USD 159.00[3] | 17,600 |
| Ultra | USD 520.00[3] | 59,000 |
Dreamina also runs time-limited per-second promotions. The ones we found had ended, so they are not listed.
Do you need an account?
To use the credits, yes in practice: credits are tied to an account, and Dreamina's avatar page tells users to log in before choosing a model[5]. We could not verify whether any generation works without logging in.
Where Cast fits
- You want a Seedance character video with no account at all: Cast's first 5-second video is free and needs no sign-up. Cast also runs inside the in-app browsers of TikTok and Instagram.
- You want no visible watermark: Cast does not add one of its own.
- You want to type one line instead of a full prompt: Cast writes the Seedance prompt for you.
Where it does not:
- Daily free credits that refill: Cast's free video is a one-time 5-second clip under a daily allowance, then paid credits.
- Image generation, avatars from your own photo, or lip sync to your audio: Dreamina covers more tools than Cast.
- Clips longer than 15 seconds.
